The Tripod Project presents the district and individual schools with reports that are organized based on the student engagement targets and other key indicators. These indicators are derived from Ron Ferguson’s analysis of data from over 100,000 previous student responses.
The Tripod Project aims to present data in multiple configurations to help schools diagnose conditions, build consensus around priorities, and craft strategic action based on real data that highlight key differences and similarities among and across segments of the school community (e.g., grade levels, genders, races).
Our value-added analysis looks at ways that responses from Tripod surveys help predict year-to-year gains in achievement, as measured by state tests. For example, in this analysis we seek to draw conclusions concerning whether particular classroom environments (reflected in survey results) produce more or less progress for high achievers when compared with low achievers.
